This page accepts JPG, PNG and WEBP. Animated WEBP is intentionally rejected because only static images are supported.
For JPG, PNG and WEBP, the tool re-encodes the image with your selected settings. Target-size mode lowers quality first where supported, then reduces dimensions without enlarging the image.
No. Re-encoded results do not copy EXIF or other embedded metadata. Keep the original if you need that information.
